One of my favourite little friends is turning five very soon! Her mum asked me to make her a felt story and gave me a few options. I picked "Pete the Cat I Love my White Shoes" By Eric Litwin because she had learned it at school and knew the song to go with it.
Once again, I tried to make it look as true to the book as possible.
I really like that one muddy shoe.

In the Small Small Pond
I volunteer at the Surrey Nature Centre and they asked me to do a felt story of the book "In the Small Small Pond" by Denise Fleming. I had a lot of things on the go but I'm horrible at saying no so I did it.
At first I researched other felt versions of it and didn't like what I saw. I think the felt story should look as close to the book as possible so that is what I tried to do with this.
It's obviously all done with felt and hand painted. I think my favourites are the turtles and the swallow. Not pictured is a Raccoon because I ran out of brown felt. Also right after I took the picture I fixed the heron's legs because they looked too plain.
Also pictured is my finished before-dance-dinner.
